Start by slowing down. Before you look through your binoculars, take a moment to notice movement, listen to the calls and watch the shapes in the branches. Birding rewards attention more than speed.
Bring comfortable walking shoes, drinking water and a light layer. Muted clothing helps you blend into the surroundings. If you do not have binoculars, ask about rental when you send your reservation request.
Tell your guide what you are hoping for. It might be a particular species, a chance to practise identification, or simply a quiet morning outside. There is no test to pass and no list you need to complete.
Give each bird space. Keep voices low, stay on designated paths and follow your guide’s instructions. A good sighting leaves the bird free to carry on with its day.
Our Nairobi birding walks begin from 7 AM. Please request your trip at least two days ahead so we can discuss the details with you.
